Job Summary:
- This role involves overseeing procurement processes, monitoring purchase orders, and ensuring alignment with sourcing strategies. It requires comprehensive knowledge of SAP, MRO management, and plant operations within the food industry.
Job Duties:
- Prepare, issue, and monitor purchase orders, ensuring consistency with established sourcing strategies.
- Generate SAP reports to monitor usage, sourcing, costs, spend history, supplier performance metrics, and PPV.
- Lead all aspects of SAP-related tracking and reporting, from initial sourcing to spend maps.
- Identify and execute cost reductions, establish MRO-related programs to reduce line downtime, and ensure part availability and performance.
- Understand the SAP environment involving strict spending limits and controls.
- Successfully multitask and utilize influence management skills.
- Prioritize work based on short and long-term objectives.
- Analyze and present data to multiple levels of the organization.
- Lead MRO-related SAP activities and reporting.
- Work primarily in an office setting with infrequent exposure to the production environment, which may include noise, dust, moving machinery, forklifts, and fluctuations in temperature.
- Meet physical requirements such as sitting at a workstation for extended periods, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 20 pounds on an infrequent basis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in MRO management, procurement, or related supply chain functions.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, with familiarity in the food industry preferred.
- Proficiency in SAP, MRO, and procurement in a professional purchasing role; knowledge of the food industry is advantageous.
- Additional background in materials and inventory management is desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in SAP-related supply chain activities and proven results in sourcing initiatives and cost reductions.
- Well-developed vendor management skills and the ability to prioritize work based on short and long-term objectives.
- Strong analytical skills, with the capability to analyze and present data to multiple levels of the organization.
- Ability to lead MRO-related SAP activities and reporting.
