Buyer - Amphenol Pcd

Amphenol Pcd is looking for a Buyer to join the team at our Beverly, MA location!

Essential Functions:
•Review open purchase orders, monitor vendor performance, and expedite when necessary
•Assure that orders are entered into and updated in MRP in an accurate and timely manner
•Ability to read and understand MRP reports, stock status reports, material variance reports, and materials shortage report
•Purchase components based on production requirements MRP, while making sure they meet APCD quality requirements, cost initiatives and delivery schedule
•Assure that problems relating to delivery, quality or pricing are promptly conveyed to the vendor and resolved in a timely manner per standard procedures

Required Skills/Qualifications:
•PC literate. Knowledge of MRP and Microsoft Office programs required.
•Knowledge in production planning and purchasing
•Excellent negotiation and communication skills
•Excellent verbal and written English skills

Desired Skills/Qualifications:
•Experience with Macola
•Demonstrated maturity and judgement
•Advanced MS Excel skills

Desired Education:
•Bachelors in related field
•APICS Certified
