BUYER ASSOCIATE JOB AVAILABLE IN NEWPORT NEWS, VA
Volt is immediately hiring for Buyer Associate in Newport News, VA.
As a Buyer Associate you will be:
- Working in Supply Chain department reviewing purchase order confirmations for accuracy as well as shipping documents.
- Inputting shipping information into a portal for tracking and expediting purposes.
- Working directly and collaborating with senior buyer on day-to-day functions to support our Import group.
- Placing purchase orders, expediting, and providing customer service functions.
- Able to Compilation and maintenance of information and records to prepare Purchase Orders.
- Contacting vendors and suppliers for quotations and maintain relationships.
- Responsible for reconciliation of payable discrepancies and customer problems.
- Managing freight billing and audit processes.
- Researching specifications of products not clearly identified.
- Entering and editing purchase orders and blanket order releases.
This is a Full-time Contract opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s Degree- preferred but not necessary.
- 1-2 years’ experience in professional customer service with great attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of Excel, Access, Power BI. Strong collaboration skills.
Pay Rate: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour.
