Butcher - Millpond Gatherings

Millpond Gatherings is seeking a skilled Butcher to join our culinary team. If you have experience in butchering cattle and swine from head to tail, we want to hear from you! At Millpond Gatherings we own our own cattle farm just 3 miles up the road called 3B Ranch. We have raised our own Black Angus grass fed (hops finished) cattle for about 15 years. They are ethically raised and are free to graze 100 acres. In addition to cattle we have bison, swine, and goats as well. Our cattle are sent to a USDA approved slaughterhouse, then return here to Millpond Gatherings where we finish the hanging and cutting process in-house. We also have a dry aged himilayan salt room to dry age steaks on-site. Job Expectations: Prepare and cut meats from larger portions into steaks, chops, roasts, and other cuts. Season, smoke, or marinate meat, and prepare sausages and other smallgoods. Create specialty cuts Maintain a clean and organized work environment Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service Company Information: Millpond Gatherings is a two floor restaurant with the Steakhouse upstairs and casual dining in the Tavern downstairs with an Event Venue as well. We serve our customers with the freshest local foods straight, celebrate the joining of families and friends, and will soon offer a place to stay and explore our historic property and surrounding farmland.
