The Floor Support Associate ensures the tables and bar are bussed and cleaned in a timely manner. Provide full operational support during service, maintaining the cleanliness of the venue pre-service, during service, and after service. Set and reset tables in a timely manner, constantly manicuring tables and bar throughout service, clearing tables with efficiency and grace. Assist in fulfilling soft beverage orders, coffee & tea orders. In addition provide full operational support to Expediter, Servers, Managers, Bartenders and to deliver food to guests in a friendly, professional & knowledgeable manner in accordance with all Gjelina standards and procedures.
This role welcomes customers into their establishment. They create and serve hot or cold beverages, often tailored to the customer's preferences as Baristas. Provide consistent quality in the preparation of cold/hot drinks and brewing of coffee and tea. May a times also be the Barback (Bartender Assistant), is responsible for assisting Bartenders to ensure they have everything they need to serve customers efficiently. Their duties include replacing kegs, restocking glasses and other supplies needed to make drinks and maintaining a clean dining space throughout their shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned.
- Report for duty on time and ensure you use the time clock to check in and out. Manage your time, including taking rest and meal breaks in compliance with Nevada Labor Law. Keep the Manager informed when you leave the restaurant.
- Maintain high standards of appearance and hygiene that include clean clothes up to dress code standards, nails and hair and no heavy perfumes/colognes.
- Knowledge of all dishes on the menu, to be able to identify them and to know their ingredients
- Adhere to all health, safety, alcohol control and sanitation protocols
- Know our regulars and encourage new guests to become regulars by establishing a rapport that includes the guests' likes and dislikes
- Organize, clean, and maintain all areas of service, especially server stations
- Prepare the floor at the opening and closing of each shift; stocking, cleaning, and preparing for service
- Clear dishes and glassware from tables; know the proper way to remove a dish, how to carry dishes, and how to reset a table, high-top, bar, lowboy and counter.
- Polishing and restocking glassware as needed
- Polishing and rolling cutlery as needed
- Assist the bartender with stocking and restocking the bar, fulfilling orders, and clearing the bar
- Accurately run drinks to tables
- Accurately run food to tables
- Attend to guest needs at the bar, and all tables on the floor
- Communicate clearly with expo and managers to support with service
- Understand the floorplan, table numbers, and seat positions of the entire venue
- Attend mandatory trainings and pre-shift meetings
- Supporting the management team in all aspects of in-house service and events
- Organize, clean, and maintain all areas of service
- Prepare stations at the opening and closing of each shift; stocking, cleaning, and preparing for service
- Clear dishes and glassware from tables; all aspects of dining room/bar; know the proper way to place a dish on a table, how to carry dishes, and how to set each dish
- Understand the right of way (guests, counter, and staff)
- Communicate clearly with Expo, servers, and both FOH + BOH managers to support service
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor / manager
- Play Barista: knowledge of drip vs espresso.
- Prepare and serve coffee and tea beverages that adhere to the company's freshness and quality standards ensuring that they consistently reflect the company's recipe and presentation standards
- Maintain coffee knowledge on current offerings and confidently and accurately communicate product information to guests
- Actively participate in coffee and tea tastings to further product knowledge and help identify any issues or deficiencies
- Educate guests and staff on all coffee and teas carried
- Refilling bottles at the bar
- Preparing and replenishing garnishes
- Collecting and washing empty glassware
- Cleaning up messes
- Rotates liquor, bottled beer, and wine inventory.
- Follows FIFO, first in first out process to keep perishable items fresh, including juices, fruit, wine and beer.
- Assist staff or managers with operational service as needed
- Requisitions necessary liquor and bar supplies from warehouse according to standards and policies.
- Keeps beverage back rooms organized and free of clutter
- Cleans all bar surfaces during shift and end of the shift.
- Complete all assigned side work pre and post shift
- Maintain coffee knowledge on current offerings and confidently and accurately communicate product information
- Completes weekly inventory of product according to standards & policies.

- Minimum 1-2 years restaurant or related experience (preferred).
