About the Job
We are seeking a Complex Business Travel Sales Manager to represent the Hilton Columbia Center and Hampton Inn Columbia Downtown hotels. We are looking for an experienced individual in business travel sales and who can recognize opportunities to close on BTS sales contracts. With this opportunity, you'll showcase your leadership and sales skills while creating exceptional customer experiences. Under the leadership of DOS, this role ensures our hotels are appropriately positioned to operate successfully and grow share in a competitive market. The Complex Business Travel Sales Manager plays a vital role in increasing qualified BTS sales volume by developing key relationships with new BTS accounts, and growing production with assigned existing accounts across the hotels represented.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Solicit, negotiate, and generate contracts that meet criteria established in the hotel business plan.
Employ revenue management techniques to recommend rate proposals.
Accurately prepare and present Requests for Proposals to ensure optimal value for both clients and hotel.
Responsible for tradeshows, conferences and client meetings to represent the hotels
Increase qualified BTS sales volume by developing key relationships with new BTS accounts, and growing production with assigned existing accounts across the group of hotels represented
Develop new BTS accounts via research and connections
Negotiate and execute contracts for Volume Accounts
Qualify prospects for the hotel and prepare and present proposals and/or contracts to prospective customers
Develop and execute on-site and field presentations to prospective clients and creating that ‘WOW’ factor
Engage in outside sales activities to discuss business opportunities and entertain customers and have a strategic outlook on how to close a contract
Develop client relationships in the area and work on key untapped resources
Participate in industry related organizations to develop business
Attend departmental meetings and other scheduled meetings to support business
Ability to analyze STR report, Travel Click Agency 360, data and use to create action plans to capture all corporate clientele
Communicate clearly and accurately (verbally or non-verbally) in a pleasant manner
Show competence by completing job responsibilities effectively and efficiently
Demonstrate an ability to follow a prescribed sequence of service with each encounter
Take initiative, be willing to assume responsibility for exceeding client expectations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
2-4 years of Business Travel Sales Experience in a hotel environment preferred.
Extremely organized, have follow through with established accounts and experience soliciting new business
Experience with Hilton systems highly preferred.
Experience with Travel Click Agency360 and Demand360 highly preferred.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to cultivate a productive team that embodies PEACH.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment where priorities are constantly changing.
Ability to work overtime and/or irregular hours when applicable.
