About the Job
Must Haves:
- 5+ years experience developing clear and effective business and system documentation (process flows, data mapping, etc)
- 3+ years experience as a Sr. BSA or Applications Analyst as either a cloud-based or on-premise COTS product administrator
- 2 years experience troubleshooting software related issues and defects (both SaaS/COTS and in-house developed)
- Basic SQL skills
- Full SDLC experience
- Previous experiencing using and/or administering Atlassian JIRA and/or Confluence (huge plus!)
Plusses:
-Previous experience as JIRA Architect
-Certified Atlassian Cloud Administrator
- Previous experience using and/or administering BOX.com

ABOUT THE ROLE
IMPORTANT TO NOTE (FROM MGR): If a candidate comes in the door with previous Atlassian JIRA skills to meet the requirements, that will give them a leg up! However, if a candidate does not have the full spectrum of experience they will be expected to learn. All the training is free online for Atlassian JIRA. BOX.com administration is niche, and I am not expecting anyone to walk in with that skillset as the candidate will need to learn this platform and the associated ABC security procedures.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This contract position will be serving as a Senior Business Systems Analyst and Atlassian JIRA and BOX.com Administrator. Should the authority purchase and implement other small COTS/SaaS applications, this position would be instrumental in both their implementation and future maintenance and support.
In addition to support activities, the incoming candidate will also be responsible for any requirements, development, and prioritization of enhancement requests. They will also be responsible for escalating platform related issues and partnering with the appropriate vendor for resolution.
The incoming candidate needs to be a self-starter and fast learner, who remains calm under pressure and who possesses excellent time management skills with an ability to communicate with colleagues from various areas of the organization.
Primary Responsibilities:
-Serve as IT product configuration administrator for Atlassian JIRA, BOX.com and any other small SaaS/COTS products implemented in future
-Partner with business and IT stakeholders to identify and implement configuration-based enhancements to support Atlassian JIRA and BOX.com based on industry best practices
-Troubleshoot and resolve configuration-related issues and defects and determine whether to escalate to vendor support
-Partners with the key stakeholders to evaluate product upgrades and perform an impact assessment on both the existing systems and business processes
-Elicits and writes requirements for all requested enhancements to supported products
-Creates and/or maintains appropriately detailed business and system documentation
-Creates detailed data mappings, as needed, for data integration with legacy systems
-Serves as an escalation point of contact for the IT Production Support Team for supported systems
-Partners with key business and technical stakeholders to maintain and/or establish standards and governance to ensure adherence to standards when it comes to the administration, maintenance and enhancement of the supported applications
-Partners with key business and technical stakeholders to annually review, maintain and/or develop an operational support plan for the products
-Serve as the subject matter expert for both the use of the supported applications and their technical implementation
-Works with other IT functional groups to resolve issues related to connectivity and interfaces with other ABC systems
-Directs Stakeholders to submit a project initiation request for enhancements or additions that exceeds the bandwidth, capacity and/or capabilities of day-to-day administration and 3rd party vendor supported enhancements
-Coordinates Release & Change Management efforts and for ensures that the change management process is followed for each release, including those that contain just product configuration changes
-Mentor(s) and trains a back-up resource if/when available
- Other duties as assigned such as a back-up to the CAR, BAR and VAL applications as needed for resource redundancy (training and guidance provided)
Compensation: $40/hr to $50/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
