Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluates business requirements to understand business processes, goals, and gaps.
- Researches, evaluates, and recommends solutions available within existing applications and supporting applications.
- Drives the planning, prioritization, design, development and deployment of new projects or system enhancements including:
- Understands the business issues and data challenges of the functional area.
- Identifies and develops requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution.
- Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner.
- Works with users to identify required changes and communicates needed changes to development team.
- Enforces project deadlines and schedules.
- Manages resources in accordance with project schedule.
- Facilitates project team meetings.
- Delivers informative, well-organized presentations.
- Audits and develops documentation and training materials, provides systems training to ensure effective system application utilization.
- Provides end user support, educates end users on upcoming changes to functionality, documenting all updates and changes.
- Supports configuration and testing of system integrations
- Partners closely with HRIS/Payroll Manager, Payroll and HR Teams to review and optimize workflows and configuration processes.
- Create and generate standard reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc reports for managers and supervisors. In addition, create reports that can be run on demand, scheduled, or otherwise automated to reach various user groups
- Regularly audits data to ensure system integrity
- May assist payroll team with processing as needed
Job Specifications
- 3+ years Information Technology experience is required
- Experience implementing payroll, timekeeping, absence management or HCM applications preferred
- Technical understanding of at least one enterprise HRIS solution preferred
- In-depth knowledge in analysis, design, prototyping, testing, developing/enhancing applications, production support, problem-solving, including requirements gathering, estimating effort, and documentation.
- Strong Project Management skills required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Knowledge of system/program design.
- Strong iSeries and PC skills.
- SQL Server knowledge is preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
Working Conditions
- Office environment.
- Travel up to 20% of the time.
