TCI has an immediate need for an Application Business Systems Analyst in Louisville, KY (not remote). This is a Direct Hire opportunity.
SUMMARY
The Application Business Systems Analyst responsibilities include plan, design, develop, and launch efficient business, financial, and operations systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes. This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. The Business Systems Analyst is also responsible for generating and compiling reports based on the findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions to systems issues. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments. The Business Systems Analyst reports to the office of the VP of IT.
RESPONSIBILITIES

This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. The Business Systems Analyst is also responsible for generating and compiling reports based on the findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions to systems issues. The Business Systems Analyst reports to the office of the VP of IT.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve systems issues.
- Lead design sessions in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow.
- Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
- Identify and establish scope and parameters of systems analysis in order to define outcome criteria and measure-taking actions.
- Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications.
- Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in operating systems across the organization.
- Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team.
- Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team.
- Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
- Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support.
- Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.
- 5+ years of related work experience as a business analyst.
- 3+ years of proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software application and hardware solutions, systems, or products.
- Extensive experience with core software applications, including ERP systems (Prelude experience preferred) and HRIS systems (UKG / Ultipro experience preferred).
- Working knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Microsoft Windows.
- Working knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards.
- Extensive knowledge and ability in importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts.
- Proven experience in the operation and analysis of databases, hardware, software, and standards, as well as data retrieval methodologies.
- Work is on-site in Louisville, KY and not open to remote applicants.
- Bachelor degree in the field of business administration, computer science, finance, or information systems.
- Experiences with any of these applications: Prelude (ERP); UKG / Ulitpro / Kronos (HRIS) will be a huge plus!
