Job description:
We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst with at least 6+ years of IT experience and Healthcare domain experience. An ideal BSA candidate will have strong data side project skills and risk related experience.
Top Desired Skills:
- At least 6+ years of BA or BSA experience
- Statistical and Analytical Skills
- IT and Business Risk and Controls
- Data Analysis and Technical Skills (SQL, Excel)
The BSA "Risk Quantification Analyst” will play a crucial role in assessing and quantifying various types of risks within Cross of CA including cyber security, application, and project risks. Their day-to-day duties typically include a mix of data analysis, modeling, and communication tasks. A detailed look at their typical daily responsibilities:
• Data Collection and Analysis: Will collect relevant data from internal and external sources. This data might include market trends, economic indicators, financial reports, and historical data related to financial risks. They analyze this data to identify patterns, trends, and potential risk factors.
• Risk Modeling: A significant part of their role involves developing and maintaining statistical models to quantify risk. This includes using techniques like Monte Carlo simulations, value-at-risk (VaR) models, stress testing, and scenario analysis. These models help in predicting potential losses and understanding the impact of different risk factors. We are in the process of implementing a new tool that would help with running these models.
• Collaborating with Other Departments: This position will work closely with other departments, such as finance, operations, and IT, to understand their risk exposure and data needs. They may participate in meetings to discuss risk assessment results and gather additional insights.
• Report Preparation and Presentation: They prepare detailed reports on their findings, highlighting potential risks and their impact on the organization. These reports are typically shared with senior management or relevant stakeholders. Part of their duty might also involve presenting their findings in meetings or briefings.
• Monitoring and Updating Risk Metrics: They continuously monitor various risk metrics and update their models as new data comes in. This is essential for providing real-time risk assessments to the organization.
• Developing Risk Management Strategies: Based on their analyses, they may also be involved in developing or recommending risk management strategies to mitigate identified risks.
• Continuous Improvement of Risk Models: They regularly review and refine their risk models to improve accuracy and reliability, incorporating feedback, new methodologies, or emerging best practices.
• Collaborating on Projects: They may be involved in special projects, such as developing new analytical tools or participating in cross-functional teams to address specific risk-related challenges or opportunities.
The role of the Risk Quantification Analyst is critical in helping Cross of CA to understand and manage risks. The role requires a blend of analytical skills, knowledge of financial costs, and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively.
