Specific duties of this position will include the following:
- Be a major player in a diverse team of individuals who develop, configure, quality assures, and support the client's Human Resources and Payroll system.
- Solve interesting and challenging problems alongside a great team of engineers and analysts.
- Develop new skills as you push your knowledge, and our technology, to new levels.
- Gain experience in the implementation of major new legislation and the technology to support this change with a workforce of over 120 thousand employees.
- Work on different and interesting projects.
- Lead project Subject Matter Expert role for activities related to the PeopleSoft HRMS 9.2 ACA Compliance and reporting requirements
- Manage the activities and provide direction to the implementation team members
- Lead and manage the team through planning, requirements, analysis, construction, testing and deployment phases of the project.
- Facilitate team meetings and other group sessions as needed
- Participate or lead special committees, if needed, which are formed to define policy, redefine business procedure and provide other strategic input to the project
- Coordinate the Project's review of the deliverables and obtain appropriate signoff by stakeholders
- Communicate project progress to stakeholders and other interested Commonwealth parties and balance the competing interests of the project stakeholders
- Coordinate project activities among other client departments and agencies such as Information Technology, Comptroller, Human Resource, and others.
- Experience working with Oracle/PeopleSoft Human Resources and Payroll applications (V9.2) or HR and payroll business functions.
- Knowledge of ACA Affordable Care Act reporting. The Affordable Care Act actually refers to two separate pieces of legislation the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (P.L. 111-148) and the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010 (P.L. 111-152)
- Good interviewing and facilitation skills for gathering detailed, comprehensive requirements.
- Experience with a systems development life cycle methodology is desired.
- Experience in performing analysis and problem solving skills is highly desired.
- Experience writing designs are highly desired.
- Experience in developing and executing test plans and cases is highly desired.
- Experience in Oracle/PeopleSoft HR/Payroll configuration table setup is desired.
- Experience working with an automated scheduling tool for batch processing is desired.
- Experience in using a query language, such as SQL, is desired.
- Exposure to the Rational Jazz 2.0 platform (RQM-Rational Quality Manager, RRC-Rational Requirements Composer, RTC-Rational Team Co implementation) is desired.
