Summary
This document describes the duties, responsibilities, and required skills/experience for the Business Systems Analyst Advisor.
This role seeks a results-driven professional with experience in healthcare processes and analysis. This resource works with internal resources and clients, to facilitate the evaluation and documentation of business problems to align process and technology solutions to meet client business goals and objectives while enabling efficient and sustainable operational processes. This role is crucial in defining the overall business needs through documenting requirements, expected outcomes, use case scenarios, test plans and executes the testing with those plans. This role is critical in identifying and documenting outcomes of testing as well as impacts of the technical solutions to optimize business results and drive quality driven outcomes and supports the creation of end user documentation.
Provides the business and analysis required to ensure the current and future business process, applications, configuration, reports, and data align to operational needs to manage the client’s requirements.
In addition, this resource will be required to support analysis of issues, oversee and build the documentation of findings, documenting business process design, requirements, business rules, testing requirements and use cases to ensure delivered outcomes are traceable and align to expected business rules, results, optimizations and improvements.
This role will work with global teams, to ensure all transactions being processed meet the guidelines, controls and compliance requirements to align with internal security requirements and those set by the client.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Drive the technology and automation culture through process design
- Guide the assessment of a clients process to define the organizations needs
- Create business, functional, reporting, configuration and reject requirements
- Develop test plans, scenarios and use cases
- Execute test plans, traceability and test outcomes
- Support re-testing and defect prioritization and tracking
- Identify and evaluate appropriate solution options to meet requirements while working with the clients, operations, delivery support, product and technology teams
- Perform operational assessments to optimize efficiencies and offerings
- Support service teams with consulting skills focused on improvements aligned with automation and technology solutions
- Ensure organizational compliance with regulations and company policies and procedures
- Good understanding of Implementation Lifecycle and IT Project Management principles and techniques
- Encourage an open exchange of ideas and different points of view; support the team despite different points of view or setbacks; remain candid even when the ideology or concept is unwelcomed or challenges status quo
- Provide information, assistance and/or other aid that helps to build or maintain effective and harmonious relationships/partnerships with team members, peers/colleagues inside or outside the organization to build a basis for future reciprocity.
- Host meetings as needed to promote collaboration and ensure sufficient direction is provided timely and adequate communication exists
- Ensure availability and is visible via Zoom/Teams/Skype/Telecom etc. during core or client business hours which may be dictated by the location of the client being supported
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years industry experience in multiple functional operational areas of claim operations and the healthcare services industry
- 5+ years of experience in business process analysis, technical solution design, automation and testing practices
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance procedures
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SQL, MS Power BI and other related business applications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and competing demands
- Possess organizational and time management skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills are a must
