Title: Business Systems Analyst 1
Location: Vancouver, WA (hybrid)
Duration: 12-month Contract (with possible extensions up to 5 years)
Pay Range: $43.23 46.45 per hour
The role of the Business Systems Analyst is to Analyze science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to implement and improve computer systems. Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations. May analyze or recommend commercially available software.
Position Responsibilities:
" Expand or modify systems to serve new purposes or improve work flow.
" Test, maintain, and monitor computer programs and systems, including coordinating the installation of computer programs and systems.
" Develop, document, and revise system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards.
" Provide staff and users with assistance solving computer-related problems, such as malfunctions and program problems.
" Review and analyze computer printouts and performance indicators to locate code problems, and correct errors by correcting codes.
" Consult with management to ensure agreement on system principles.
" Confer with clients regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs a computer program is to address.
" Read manuals, periodicals, and technical reports to learn how to develop programs that meet staff and user requirements.
" Coordinate and link the computer systems within an organization to increase compatibility so information can be shared.
" Determine computer software or hardware needed to set up or alter the system.

Position Requirements:
Education & Corresponding Experience
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, business systems, or a closely related field is preferred.
- 2 years of experience is required with a bachelor's degree in applicable fields.
- 4 years of experience is required without a degree or applicable degree.
- 6 years of directly related experience is required without a degree.
- Experience should be consistent with the specific requirements of business systems analysis, project management, and/or business analysis, and progressively more technical in nature.
- 3 years of advance knowledge/experience in SharePoint or Microsoft Project and Project Web Application as a power user or site administrator
- 1 year of advanced knowledge of and practical experience in Power BI
- 1 year of experience in automating with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)
- 1 year of experience working with Microsoft O365 applications
- 1 year of experience working with Windows 11 desktop systems.
- Familiarity with Data Management and Reporting tools
- SQL
- SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio)
- Familiarity with Data Modeling and Design.
- Experience in Azure Dev Ops (ADO)
- Experience in Lean and Six Sigma process analysis
- Familiarity with energy/utility industry
- Expert proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, charting, and reporting.
- Familiarity with Nintex Forms and Workflows.
- Knowledge of Microsoft technologies and cloud-based apps such as Microsoft Flow/Power Automate and Teams
- Data Management and Reporting

- DAX/M
- oData
- CSOM
- SSRS
- Client-Side/Front-End Web Development (for deployment within a SharePoint Environment).
