Akkodis is seeking a Business System Analyst for an 18+ monthcontract, hybrid opportunity with our Fortune 500 Oil and Gas client located in Findlay, Ohio OR San Antonio, Texas.
Rate: $50-$60/hr. on W2 The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to join our dynamic Product Team. In this role, you will focus on supporting and enhancing terminal management systems used in the oil and gas industry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with both off-the-shelf (OTS) and in-house developed software while collaborating with a highly skilled team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a Business Systems Analyst for Terminal Management Systems with a focus on off-the-shelf (75%) and custom in-house software (25%).
- Apply expert-level SQL skills to design and manage triggers, stored procedures, query optimization, and task scheduling for system efficiency.
- Act as a liaison between stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring business requirements are effectively translated into technical solutions.
- Utilize SQL Server Management Studio as the primary tool for managing data and systems.
- Support the transition from Tableau to Power BI for reporting purposes.
- Leverage Crystal Reporting tools as needed (experience is a plus).
- Work with automation systems to improve operational workflows.
- Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Office for documentation and communication.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in Terminal Management Systems within the oil and gas industry.
- Expert level SQL skills
- Strong business systems analysis (BSA) skills to identify, analyze, and document requirements.
- Proficiency in reporting tools and dashboard solutions, with a focus on Power BI.
- Experience in leveraging automation systems to streamline processes.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team setting.
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Crystal reporting experience.
