Toshiba America Energy Systems Corporation (TAES) provides energy industry solutions – new equipment, retrofits, maintenance, outage planning and more – for current and future power generation needs in the Americas, including thermal, hydro, and nuclear power plants.
Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on, Manager, Business Solutions to work out of our West Allis, WI office. The position will manage a team of IT professionals and be responsible for managing complex projects and business processes and programs related to corporate, enterprise and operations application systems. In addition, this role ensures that the business and any related systems or programs are stable, productive and meet IT governance standards.
Strategy:
- Assist in the development of overall IT Strategy aligned to the overall Business Strategy
- Plan IT budgets and drive smart investments ensuring alignment with strategic initiatives/objectives and the IT Strategy
Management:
- Support the development of functional and technical design specifications for application enhancements and oversee development, test, user acceptance and implementation
- Prioritize, track and report progress for all Business Solutions group activities
- Provide support for reporting requirements and data extraction
- Management of application security and user access ensuring Segregation of Duties (SOD)
Develop People:
- Mentor and coach a team of analysts responsible for optimizing and maintaining application systems and controls
- Work with Shared Services Human Resources & Administration to ensure IT staffing, training, and people development needs are being met
- Manage succession plans, competency development and performance feedback
Leadership and Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain a respectable understanding of company business processes within each primary business area to support system change management and governance
- Use ITSM to manage open break-fix issues using ServiceNow ITSM tracking
- Document and maintain system processes, configuration, and test plans and lead projects and process improvement efforts
- Engage and build consensus among diverse stakeholders to construct business solutions
- Maintain a leadership role for both IT Steering and SME Committees
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or related field with at least ten (10) years of IT business solution experience supporting, leading, and managing a complex mix of applications and support activities
- Experience to provide work assignments, coach and supervise a diverse staff that focuses on engagement, good communication, open dialogue, and effective team building
- Demonstrate strong problem solving skills, collaboration and communication with all levels of the business including internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven experience, knowledge and oversight of ERP software operations including Finance, Project Accounting, SCM and Manufacturing. Experience with Oracle EBS R12 is a plus
- Experience and oversight of CRM software operations.
- Demonstrated experience to independently gather and document business requirements, leading fit-gap analysis, as-is and to-be business process designs, conference room pilots (CRP) functional configuration, testing and user training
- Experience in developing and maintaining data conversion/integration between non-integrated systems; Ability to map applications to standard business processes and conduct gap analysis
- Adept at collaborating with technical development teams and coordinating work efforts when addressing new implementations, functionality enhancements, application updates and performance issues
- Extensive knowledge of Project and Software Development Life Cycle Methodologies
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a high level of determination and positive demeanor
- Ability to effectively manage multiple, competing, high-priority projects with varying deadlines
- Proficiency with SQL based queries
- Proficiency with MS Project/Visio
Certifications and Licenses
- Oracle Certification is a plus.

Work Environment
The majority of this work takes place in an office and the work environment is that of a typical office environment in a manufacturing setting where noise levels are usually moderate. Frequently the employee will interact with personnel in the plant where he/she may be exposed to higher noise levels.
