Risk Data, Analytics, Reporting and Technology oversees risk data aggregation, controls, reporting and analysis across all Risk Management teams, including the function of the Risk Data Transformation Sponsor, accountable for Risk’s overall data efforts, working closely with the enterprise data office. Business is responsible for enterprise reporting, data management, and technology innovation that is fundamental to Risk Management within our client.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in science, engineering; or finance, economics; or related analytical fields
· 3+ years experience in related roles
· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel & Access
· Skills in data, analytics, databases, data quality are desired; experience in Tableau, Power BI, Visualization is preferred
· Coding experience and the ability to manipulate large data sets would be beneficial
· Knowledge of and interests in finance, markets, risk management
· Good team player and excellent work ethics
· Strong communication, organizational & interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
· Participates in preparing regular and time-sensitive analytics, visualizations and reports working with Spread Products, Commodities, Equities and XVA risk managers, senior management, and regulators.
· Centrally acquire all data related to a Market Risk Management while ensuring data quality, completeness, and consistency.
· Develop expertise in Market risk management across asset classes, including risk metrics, risk governance, as well as related data and technology infrastructure.
· Leverage risk and technical expertise to increase the information value of the content with actionable insights for management.
· Drive process improvement opportunities that enhance the efficiency of the production process.
· Provides information to Risk Management and the business for audit, stress testing and --hoc related queries.
· Ability to develop and maintain close working relationships with Risk Management, Business units and other control functions.
· Responsible for raising, investigating, and following up on issues related to data quality, limit excess, etc.
· Applies in-depth knowledge to coordinate and contribute to initiatives that support the objectives of the operations function and overall business.
· Applies in-depth understanding of how various operational areas collectively integrate within the sub function.
· Serves as an analytical and/or procedural expert, representing a unit or team on cross function operational processes, project deliverables.
· Resolves complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of basic operations and business processes, family procedures and industry standards for business support.
· Demonstrates leadership ability as he/she leads projects and/or offers solutions at an advanced level.
· Responsible for raising, investigating, and following up on issues related to data quality, limit excess, etc.
· Evaluates moderately complex and variable operations issues that have substantial potential impact and recommends changes to streamline processes as required. Ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
