Aquinas Consulting is looking to fill a long-term contract Business Project Manager job with our client, a leading global dairy alternative manufacturer. This job is based in Hackensack, NJ (on-site 3 days/week) with some travel to their Kansas factory location. In this role, you will drive the new factory set up from start to finish until it is operational. You will identify and work with various business, technology and engineering workstreams while acting as an overall project manager working under the business sponsor.
The focus of the role is to create an implementation project plan. You should be able to provide project and change management, as well as effective internal and external stakeholder management. The ideal candidate is a certified project manager with dairy production business process flow experience, who can display a proactive attitude with key stakeholders. You are a clear communicator who can manage the time, scope and cost attributes of the project.
Business Project Manager job responsibilities:
- Leads the orderly progression of the project from the proposal stage through project completion by interacting with the vendors, senior leaders, technical staff and business development.
- Maintains project documentation - communications, schedules, sample submission paperwork, meeting minutes.
- A track record of delivering engineering capital projects and increasing operational efficiencies of equipment gained within a highly automated FMCG environment particularly in a dairy environment.
- Maintain accurate open Purchase Order lines to define the inbound quantities and due dates from vendors, identify system demand or BOM issues, and resolve inventory discrepancies in SAP
- Enable set up of MRP master data parameters to ensure accurate signals for quantity and dates generated by MRP
- Deliver ad-hoc issues management across the cross functional team.
- Understand project drivers, requirements, scenarios and options
- In partnership with Fabrication Engineering and Quality, ensure performance in Safety and Quality
- Set up business waste processes and make sure it adheres to overall company policies.
Business Project Manager job qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, finance, economics, business, or management.
- 10+ years of experience as business project manager in an engineering and ERP environment.
- Certified in Project management (PMP, Prince II, PMP, ITIL, PMI, PRINCE2, EMV, CSM, APICS, CQE, ATP)
- Previous experience of managing dairy creams production processes/ projects.
- Ability to drive requirement gathering sessions, good working knowledge of Excel and S/4.
- Assist in implementing systematic solutions to control planning, procurement, inventory flow, minimize shortages, and maintain accuracy in SAP
- Ability to lead a kaizen, ability to identify problems with data quality and minimize reporting errors.
