The Growth Innovation and Strategy (GIS) Communications Sales and Delivery (Comms) business unit within SMT division is laser focused on enabling our traditional and next generation telecommunications, enterprise, and space customers to digital transformation via our first- and third- party solutions with the goal of making Microsoft the number 1 hyperscaler of choice for Service Providers.
As a Business Program Manager (BPM) for GIS Communications, you will play a pivotal role in helping develop and execute overall operational strategy to achieve business goals for the business unit. The role will focus heavily on critical financial and operational management and reporting through the development of key metrics, tools and business processes aggregating an enterprise view for all sales, delivery, and partners. The role will also focus on building a foundational framework for a partner-ecosystem as we scale as a 1P/Platform First solution provider.
We are looking for someone well versed in both product and services sales and delivery with a focus on Azure Cloud Revenue. **Business Program Planning, Design & Management**
+ Financial Management & Reporting: Coordinates across, within and external to SMT & GIS to drive financial accuracy rigor in overall Profit & Loss (P&L) health - heavily focused on Azure Consumed Revenue (ACR), but including all products, delivery and partners: Finance, Azure for Opperators (AFO) & Space Product Engineering, Go To Market and Operations (GTMO), Growth Strategy & Planning (GS&P), regional operating units and global solution sales. Examine key business and performance analysis and trends month over month and provide recommendations based on trends in order to achieve business goals.
+ Partner Eco-System Framework: Champions and builds complex partner eco-system framework in collaboration with key business stakeholders including clarity on segmentation, quota, planning, co-selling, and transitions across the organization. May champion partnership with partners such as One Commercial Partner, US Federal, GPS or AFO/Space Engineering to create and roll out new sales and delivery operations strategies for partner management & growth. Ensures all teams understand and adhere to best practices.
+ Special Programs: Coordinate teams who identify and scope opportunities to develop new programs and improve current ones impacting the growth of sales and delivery capability (e.g. TCO, NPI & Partner Accelerator) and operational excellence (Kimble or other tools/processes). Acts as an industry subject matter expert to help teams identify and resolve root problems (e.g., root-cause analysis), define the program strategy, gather program requirements, identify resource needs, create the project plan and targets, and work across teams to align on the plan of record. Contributes to or sets strategy to drive clarity in complex program issues and strive for simplification.
**Sales & Delivery Operations**
+ Partners with global & regionals sales & delivery teams, worldwide owners, and other operational groups to drive success. Champions the aligned sales & delivery operations programs and ensures compliance of execution support using tools, processes, and information for related to Pipeline, Consumption, and Delivery across the organization. Manages performance against business plans and refines courses of action to influence leaders. Partners with worldwide sales teams, worldwide owners, and other operational groups to drive success.
+ Champions and approves execution excellence for sales and delivery operations fundamentals and innovation in the sales & delivery operations function.
+ Leverages qualitative and quantitative methods across Segmentation, Territory Management, Employee Assignment, Revenue Excellence, Quota Management, Awards Management, Sales Incentives, and/or Blueprint to drive sales & delivery operations fundamentals across segments. Collaborates with and manages relevant senior-level stakeholders (e.g., Corporate, Regional & Globals Leaders, Sales Excellence, Finance, Human Resources [HR]) to align, refine, and improve sales and delivery operations planning and execution. Communicates risk and growth opportunities throughout the planning process, and approves plans for improvement to senior-level stakeholders across the organization.
**Business Program Evaluation and Improvement**
+ Responsible for and also collaborates with other teams who conduct cost-benefit analyses to examine performance to value drivers (e.g., profit and loss [P&L], return on investment [ROI]). Helps teams drive monthly pipeline Growth, Revenue and Opportunity (GRO) and monthly business review (MBR) and helps teams run rhythms regularly to identify what is working and what is not and make improvements accordingly.
+ Responsible for and oversees teams who collect and evaluate success criteria and performance metrics (e.g., Objectives and Key Results [OKRs] and Key Performance Indicators [KPIs]), such as acquisition, usage, impact, effectiveness, and customer feedback to use scorecards and dashboards to monitor programs and ensure all activities align with business and program objectives, and to report up to leadership and create leadership visibility. Ensures teams optimize data analytics (e.g., scenario analyses) to derive insights and training that help identify current and future program risks and mitigation plans, as well as opportunities to streamline and optimize programs based on lessons learned that impact the broader unit and/or Microsoft.

**Qualifications**
**Required/Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 8+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 6+ years management (e.g., people, project, process, vendor, change) experience.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 12+ years experience in program management , process management, process improvement
+ OR Master's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 10+ years program management experience, process management, process improvement
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 8+ years people management experience.
Business Program Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $124,800 - $266,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $159,000 - $292,200 per year.
