Job Summary and Qualifications
The Business Planning Manager supports the Robotics Service Line. They support the planning process and management of teams for enterprise strategic assessments as well as development and execution of market and corporate strategies for alignment and market shift. This individual is primarily responsible for designing the planning process and providing improvement recommendations as well as coordinating, supporting and/or communicating successful execution. This individual utilizes known SL-specific strategic planning and provides analytics to identify risks and assist in the development of mitigation plans in a complementary fashion with SL team members. Frequent, key interactions and customers include Division and facility leadership as well as technology vendors. Additional collaborative interactions extend across multiple organizational areas including Operations, PC&A, PPR, Clinical Operations Group, Strategy and Innovation Group, HCA Physician Services, HealthTrust Purchasing Group, and SL leaders. This individual will also support interfaces with both national-level physician leadership and practicing physicians to support the planning and execution of strategies that drive physician alignment. This individual must possess collaborative and coordination skills to achieve SL objectives, often without direct line authority through development of a diverse scope of relationships.
SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Supports the analysis of the environment and forces impacting robotics and enabling technologies across the enterprise
- Develops and collaborates with corporate, division, and other partners as needed to inform and have an understanding of how these forces impact each market and the resulting challenges that are specific to each
- From the above, in collaboration with those partners, supports the planning of work-product execution that drives enhanced alignment and market shift
- Collaborates with Division and facilities to plan and support the execution of market specific strategies and uses existing resources for data acquisition and reporting to track and support the reporting of results
- Supports the capital purchasing process for new technologies including division and facility business plan reviews, vendor communications, and ability to analyze and present on strategic objectives
- Supports and leads vendor alignment discussion and assists in the assessment and evaluation of new technologies for strategic deployment.
- Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as a member of the SL team.
- Serves as a member of key internal and external committees related to SL as developed.
- Leads cross functional teams as requested as well as collaborates with corporate SL and stakeholders (e.g., PC&A, CSG, SRG, PSG, HPG) to support SL priorities.
- Adheres to established system-wide and departmental policies, procedures and objectives and develops policies and procedures, as appropriate.
- Designs planning processes to support execution of strategies to drive market shift in collaboration primarily with Corporate and Division partners
- Develops and implements policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of OSL services.
- Completes projects and deliverables in a timely manner
- Promotes a work environment that fosters employee development, self-directed teams and establishment of communication processes.

- Possesses analytical thinking, industry knowledge, strong communication skills, and is able to work as a member of an integrated team as well as lead processes and coordinate team members.
- Understands major trends in healthcare, and has a good grasp of the current landscape of potential partners for driving market shift

EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Master's Degree preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience required
- Management experience preferred
- Experience with HCA and HCA systems preferred
- Acute care health system experience and knowledge of physician practice
