As part of the largest College at the University of Michigan, LSA Finance supports over 100 units with financial, procurement, and research administration. We are seeking qualified candidates for a leadership role as a Business Analyst Lead. This position involves providing financial reporting, analysis, and support services to LSA units, and leading the Business Analyst team. Business Analysts collaborate closely with Unit Administrators to ensure effective financial management and support. A comprehensive training program is provided as part of the onboarding process.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Unit Administrators to develop budgets and provide guidance on financial performance.
- Offer expertise on UM, LSA, and unit-specific financial policies and procedures.
- Prepare regular and ad hoc financial reports and analyses.
- Review and approve transactions to ensure compliance.
- Promote and maintain strong internal controls.
- Conduct training sessions on budget and finance topics for LSA staff.
- Advise on operational efficiency within units to optimize financial resources.
- Conduct thorough and timely reviews, documenting findings and addressing issues as needed.
- Partner effectively with LSA Finance support staff on financial activities.
- Ensure timely, accurate communication of procedures and processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of two to five years of progressive experience in finance, financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet software such as Excel and Google Sheets, and other Office products.
- Experience with query tools preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
- Uphold confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Additional Information:
The target salary range for this position is $65,000 - $72,500 annually, with the actual salary offered dependent on qualifications and experience.
