Job Details
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Business Operations Oversight: Oversee operations across all locations and entities, conducting bi-annual reviews and implementing new technologies to improve efficiency.
- Financial Oversight: Collaborate with the Controller on financial reporting, budget management, and long-term planning. You will monitor financial performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and assist with tax strategy and implementation.
- Vendor & Budget Management: Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and evaluate performance. Review budgets quarterly, analyze variances, and develop cost-saving strategies with the Controller.
- Risk & Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with State Bar regulations and maintain audit-ready documentation.
- Human Resources: Oversee recruitment, training, and HR strategy in coordination with the HR Manager. Participate in staffing and hiring decisions as needed.
- Strategic & Attorney Development: Develop long-term business plans, set operational goals, and analyze market trends. Implement attorney performance evaluations and ensure monthly revenue targets are met.
- Marketing & Business Development: Oversee marketing strategies, collaborate with marketing teams, and identify new business development opportunities.
- IT Oversight & Special Projects: Ensure optimal use of CRM and technology systems and manage special projects or new initiatives as they arise.
SKILLS REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred).
- A minimum of 4+ years of progressive experience in business operations, financial oversight, or operations management, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
- Proven track record of successfully leading operational initiatives, implementing costsaving measures, and improving efficiency across multiple business units.
- Strong experience in managing budgets, financial planning, and working closely with accounting and finance teams on reporting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Proven leadership abilities and experience in implementing technology solutions.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a history of managing cross-functional teams and driving results.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to analyze complex business problems, identify areas of improvement, and implement sustainable solutions.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
