Vernon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center is seeking a Full Time Business Office Manager (some responsiblities of Case Management - specifically insurance updates) to join our team!!
The chosen candidate will work full time, M-F as an exempt employee, responsible for facility financial functions based on our facility standards and in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor degree in business administration/Accounting preferred.
- Min. 3 years experience in third-party billing/collections with at least 1 year experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Ability to read, write and understand english; ability to follow oral and written instructions. Strong written, verbal and analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work hours as scheduled based on the requirement of the position assignment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Coordinates facility financial billing / collections in cooperation with third-party as determined by facility.
- Supervises business office staff (facility specific).
- Recruits, hires, provides orientation/training, and retains qualified staff to carry out the responsibilities of the Business Office.
- Monitors billing and collection activities.
- Complies with appropriate controls and accounting procedures.
- Analyzed monthly collections.
- Assesses level of bad debt reserves, reviews and recommends write-offs.
- Ensures procedures are followed to achieve and accurate and timely closing at month-end.
- Ensures all required records are maintained and submitted, accurately, and timely to conform with state and federal regulations.
- Participates in routine financial related meetings.
- Performs other related duties and attends meetings as may be deemed necessary by the Administraton
