Business Officer Manager
Location: Cleveland, Ohio | Job Type: Full-time | Salary: $66,000/Year
At R.L. Cole Enterprise, Inc. we are a rapidly growing trucking company committed to delivering top-tier transportation services. We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Business Officer Manager to help streamline office operations, manage accounts receivable, payroll and other key tasks. This role offers opportunities to grow and develop with gradual training.
The Business Officer Manager is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment. This role will be pivotal in managing office operations and eventually managing the companies' accounts receivable. The person should possess knowledge and fluency in office programs and software (Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat).
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Oversee and manage all office operations, ensuring efficient workflow.
- Manage and deliver project documentation, including certification, contracts, permits, and reports.
- Implement office procedures to enhance productivity and organization.
- Manage the document management system for continued efficient storage, retrieval, and disposal of construction project records and other correspondence.
- Handle customer/ vendor inquiries
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Facilitate communication between the construction office and external parties, such as customers, suppliers/ vendors, and regulatory agencies, to ensure project requirements are met.
- Proactive and able to work independently and prioritize work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities.
- Manage the on boarding process with new hires and the daily HR component of the business while communicating with the external HR agency for leadership/ guidance.
- Support the external accountant, liaison between internal and external consultants.
- After a period of training, gradually take on accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing, payment tracking, and addressing payment issues as they arise (full cycle accounts receivable).
- Identify challenges and proactively propose solutions, collaborating with the team when needed.
- Working closely with the owner, on assigned projects as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Have the knowledge and experience in business operation and administration, including the ability to manage and create procedures, identify responsibilities, and implement or adjust systems efficiently
- Have experience in Administrative, Business Management, or Office Management fields.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
- Experience in a managerial position will be an advantage.
- Able to operate office machines and equipment, such as printers, copiers or fax machines
- Possess a good problem-solving skill, critical thinking capabilities and leadership ability
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Have good communication skill, both in written and verbal, with an adaptable flair
- Proficiency with MS Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Workspace
