St. Joseph Rehabilitation and Nursing Center has a great opportunity available for a strong and experienced Business Office Manager (BOM) at our lovely facility in Dorchester, MA.
Saint Joseph Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is a Joint Commission Accredited, American Healthcare Association Bronze Medal Award-winning, short-term rehab, long term, and skilled nursing care community. We are conveniently located in Dorchester.
Some of the job functions of the Business Office Manager (BOM):
- The BOM is responsible for managing all aspects and functions of the business systems in the facility.
- Ensure record of daily collections for cash receipts and deposit to appropriate account.
- Ensure accurate posting of daily census including validating payor source for residents.
- Establish and maintain communication with patients, family members and others responsible for payment of services, keeping all parties current as to the status of the account.
- Generate timely billing of all payer classes per policy.
- Establish controls to assure accuracy and timeliness of month end close. Complete month-end close adhering to policy.
- Maintain collection results that meet and/or exceed corporate standards for all payers.
Qualifications of the Business Office Manager (BOM):
- Prior Business Office experience with a minimum of 1-year supervisory experience.
- Prior long-term care third party billing/collection experience.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards.
- Ability to read, write and assimilate reports, business correspondence, and policy & procedure manuals. Strong computer skills are a must. Point Click Care (PCC) experience is a plus!
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of executives, managers, clients, customers, and the public.
