Brighton House is a 78-bed skilled nursing facility located in Brighton, MA and easily accessible from public transport (MBTA)! Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the processing of accounts receivable, adjustments/refunds, private and third-party agencies, census information, ancillaries, cash deposits, and posting as needed
- Communicate with residents and responsible parties at admission and throughout their stay to explain financial obligations and paperwork
- Assist with Medicaid Pending accounts
- Assist with accounts receivable collections for all due resident accounts and ensure timely filing of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and Hospice claims
- Document collection activities with residents and responsible parties
- Recommend accounts for external collections, attorney review, or write-offs as applicable
- Coordinate documentation for internal and external audits and assist the Administrator and accounting department with resolving G/L variances
- Prepare and deposit checks received
- Manage Resident Trust Accounts in compliance with state regulations
- Assist the Human Resources Department with employment procedures such as recruitment, employment verifications, background checks, reference checks and new employee on-boarding
- Help maintain compliance with federal, state, and other regulatory regulations concerning Human Resources related employment
- Assist in conducting general orientations for new hires
- Managing Front Desk Receptionist staff and Business Office Assistant
- Perform additional duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Experience with long-term care/skilled nursing Business Office functions (Medicaid, Medicare, Personal Needs Accounts, etc.) is strongly preferred.
- Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook is required
- Excellent organization, customer service, and interpersonal skills required
