As the Business Manager/Controller, you'll play a vital role in guiding our finance and administrative operations. Reporting to the General Manager, you will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and employee development initiatives to optimize our operations and align with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare annual budgets, oversee financial assets, and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Use contract and lead data to anticipate labor needs and revenue goals, ensuring proactive solutions for business constraints.
- Manage individual and company-wide project schedules and collaborate with managers to set and track achievable project milestones.
- Develop incentive programs and review industry wages biannually to maintain competitive compensation.
- Lead, train, and support office personnel and the Shop Operations Manager, promoting a team-oriented culture.
- Lead recruiting for critical roles, establish employee performance metrics, and support staff growth through training and mentoring.
- Implement a grading system to ensure subcontractors meet Kleiber's standards of excellence.
- Partner with the Shop Operations Manager to create financial and operational KPIs and review production metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 7-10 years of relevant experience, ideally in construction or a similar industry
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and financial systems, with a solid background in budgeting and financial analysis
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, cost analysis, and financial planning Proficiency in creating and tracking Key Process Indicators (KPIs) to drive company goals
- Strong leadership skills, with experience supervising and developing teams
- Excellent organizational skills, able to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize effectively
- Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
- High ethical standards and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity
Salary and Benefits:
- Full-time position
- Competitive salary at $100,000 - $120,000 per year, based on experience.
