About the Job
We are seeking an Associate Attorney with a background in Business litigation for a full time position with a highly regarded Bay Area boutique law firm. The firm practices in a variety of business, insurance, real estate and construction litigation, and seeking an associate attorney to join their business litigation group. The successful candidate will possess a strong academic background and have a minimum of two years of litigation experience in business, employment, or related litigation. Associate attorneys are given the autonomy to manage their own caseload, while collaborating with attorneys in staff in a friendly office culture. The chosen associate attorney will be expected to handle all aspects of litigation including the discovery process, legal research, participating in depositions, attending hearings and other court appearances, and trial preparation.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 2-4 years of litigation experience in business, employment, insurance defense, or liability matters
- Experience drafting and arguing motions, discovery, taking and defending depositions, and trial preparation
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and client communication
- Proficient in handling multiple cases and priorities while meeting deadlines efficiently
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing with the California Bar
- Trial experience is welcome, but not required
