Business Intelligence Manager - Emblem Health

• Responsible for management of the Enterprise Business Intelligence Center of Excellence (BICOE), consisting of a mixture of consultant and staff experts in the areas of Tableau, SAS, Cognos, and DWH best practices.
• Collaborating with Senior leaders for creating the vision for BI Center of Excellence (BICOE).
• Direct BICOE leaders to set the tone and standards for enterprise development, design, deployment, BI performance standards, documentation/tagging, governance, and maintenance.
• Manage BI Projects and initiatives across multiple functional areas/LOBs.
• Serve as SME in BI & Analytics and present the findings both internally and externally.
• Collaborate cross departmentally to gather data and ensure accuracy of all analyses.
• Provide support to multiple business areas: clinical care management, utilization management, operations, account management, etc.

• Execute the primary mission of the BICOE - Mentor, guide, and set standards for the BICOE leaders and the larger BICOE development team.
• Ensure design, testing, and coding best practices are adhered to and ensure peer review is done before releasing to business.
• Create a Migration strategy for various BI platforms- Tableau, Cognos, and SAS to Cloud Environment.
• Promote Self-service with creation of Cognos Framework models.
• Lead Tool Evaluation of new new products and tools along with the Data Architecture Team and create the roadmap.
• Lead tool evaluation and migration efforts for Tableau, Cognos and SAS from On-prem to Cloud.
• Execute the DWH 2.0 enhancement projects, large BI projects (Provider, member executive projects), and ad-hoc BI requests as they come in.
• Utilize design requirements/guidance from Leadership and build out BI dashboards in Tableau in collaboration with other analysts within the team, for multiple business areas (clinical care management, utilization management, operations, account management, etc.).
• Document key steps, assumptions, and dependencies; monitor dashboard function.
• Address dashboard enhancement requests that have passed intake process.
• Create the BI Foundational layer to ensure reusability of data foundations across Tableau, Cognos, and SAS.
• Manage multiple vendors and large teams with global presence to execute large projects on time and within budgets.
• Manage a staff of employee in addition to managing the multiple vendors.
• Ensure that the team is focused on deliverables and lead them to deliver on all assignments timely.
• Lead, train, develop, mentor and evaluate assigned staff to perform the functions assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, IT, Computer Science or a related field required
• Certification / portfolio in Business Intelligence preferred
• 10+ years of relevant professional work experience required
• Business Intelligence experience in the health insurance industry, and/or managed-care environment required
• Experience working with healthcare/payer data required
• High level of proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.) required
• Expertise with Tableau, Cognos and SAS/SQL required
• Experience leading and migrating BI platform to Cloud required
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal) with all types/levels of audiences required
• Experience managing large amounts of data and proficiency using data access tools required
