JOB SUMMARY
The Business Intelligence Manager will report to the Associate Director of Customer Insights within the Customer Insights and Engagement department. This person will have a passion for advanced consumer analytics and simplifying data to help drive business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of analyzing consumer data leading to revenue generation and growth across business-wide KPI’s such as customer lifetime value, engagement, conversion, data/lead acquisition, and more. We are looking for an independent problem solver who is excited about the growth and opportunities surrounding the PS&E brands.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collect, prepare, analyze and present data from a variety of sources to satisfy enterprise-wide customer insight needs, including evaluation of ticket and merchandise sales, marketing and promotional campaigns, corporate partnerships, stadium operations, loyalty programs, market research, and various other business verticals.
- Leverage established analytical skillset to uncover and effectively communicate impactful customer trends, sentiment and affiliations to drive impactful customer interactions.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of fan/customer behavior, including purchasing patterns, preferences, and motivations to drive new business ventures.
- Produce clear, concise and impactful reports and dashboards to ensure all staff are well informed and understand each area of the PSE fanbase thoroughly.
- Develop and refine audience segments based on demographic and behavioral data sets to enhance targeted and personalized messaging in all outbound sales, marketing campaigns and new business ventures.
- In coordination with the Associate Director of Customer Insights, establish and measure departmental goals, KPI’s, and project prioritization to support cross-departmental objectives.
- Drive meaningful conversations with various department stakeholders to support cross-functional projects focused on high-priority areas and long-term growth.
- Create, distribute and analyze survey data using best business practices to enhance customer insights and provide operational recommendations organization-wide to enhance our customer experience, engagement, and retention efforts.
- Address ad-hoc data requests and projects as needed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor’s degree required. Strong preference for degrees in data analytics, mathematics, statistics, data engineering or economics.
- 3+ years of experience as a business, sales, or marketing analyst is required. Experience in the Sports & Entertainment industry is preferred.
- Project management and analyst supervisory experience is required.
- Familiarity with business-critical systems including ticketing (Ticketmaster, SeatGeek, etc.), CRM (Salesforce), email marketing engagement (Salesforce Marketing Cloud), data visualization (preferably Tableau and/or PowerBI), and surveying (Qualtrics, Formstack, and Feedback Management, etc.) is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with additional system data sets including retail (Shopify, Shift4, etc.), sponsorship and fan demographics (Nielsen, Blinkfire, YouGov, Live Analytics, etc.), and other dispersed data sets is preferred.
- Familiarity with Databricks and/or Spark SQL is preferred.
- Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational databases with an ability to perform effective querying involving joining multiple tables, creating subqueries, and maintaining views.
- Experience using data visualization tools to build automated dashboards and reports, including Tableau and/or Power BI; Must possess strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills, including familiarity with statistical programming languages such as R and/or Python.
- Familiarity with survey creation, including crafting effective questions and use of best business practices to gather, interpret and present on both quantitative and qualitative responses.
- Ability to problem-solve, multi-task and remain adaptive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Capable of clearly and effectively presenting key organizational insights to various internal and external audiences, including senior leadership.
- Possesses a working knowledge of data mining principles, including predictive analytics, data mapping, and utilizing data from multiple systems in a cloud-based environment.
