Our Opportunity:
Chewy is seeking a highly motivated, goal-oriented, dedicated BI Engineer II in Bellevue WA, Minneapolis MN, or Boston MA. You will work side by side with our smart, hardworking, and highly motivated team to evaluate product performance, investigate future opportunities, solve issues as they come up, and dig into business challenges. You will design, implement, test, document, and maintain high-performance data models, reports/dashboards, and BI solutions for analytics. We’re an agile group, and we change directions quickly to make sure our partners and Chewy are always getting the best use of our time.
What You’ll Do:
+ Implement data ingestion routines both real time and batch using best practices in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes.
+ Provide on-line reporting and analysis using business intelligence tools and a logical abstraction layer against large, multi-dimensional datasets and multiple sources.
+ Gather business and functional requirements and translate these requirements into robust, scalable, operable solutions that work well within the overall data architecture.
+ Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key decisions and process improvements
+ Respond to quick-turnaround requests from business leaders for analysis, data, and troubleshooting.
What You’ll Need:
+ Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Information Management, Industrial Engineering, Data Science or related field and 5 years of experience!
+ Will also accept a Master’s degree and 3 year of experience!
+ Experience must include 1 year with: Microsoft Excel (advanced macros);
+ Knowledge of Database technologies (Vertica, SQL Server, Snowflake);
+ Python scripting and Tableau experience.
+ Approximately 4% domestic travel required.
+ The position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.
Compensation & Benefits:
Our salary range for a Business Intelligence Engineer II position is $115,500.00 - $183,500.00 . The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k, and a new hire and annual equity grant. We offer different types of insurance, such as medical/Rx, vision, dental, life, disability, hospital indemnity, critical illness, and accident. We offer parental leave, family services benefits, backup dependent care, flexible spending accounts, telemedicine, pet adoption reimbursement, employee assistance program, and many discounts including 10% off pet insurance and 20% off at Chewy.com . Salaried-exempt team members have unlimited PTO, subject to manager approval. Team members will receive six paid holidays per year.
