Business Intelligence Developer at Alexander Technology Group

The BI Developer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining business intelligence systems, including database, data lake, and warehouse integrations. This role ensures high system availability through continuous support, testing, and optimization of BI solutions for end users.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement analytics solutions, fine-tune databases, and mine data for insights that improve business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Requirements & Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to define BI, analytics, and data warehousing needs, and create functional specifications for BI tools and applications.
• Strategic Planning: Contribute to data governance policies and long-term BI strategies aligned with business goals.
• Data Engineering: Design and optimize databases, create ETL pipelines, and ensure data integration for BI systems.
• BI Development: Develop, test, and document BI solutions, including reports, semantic layers, and SQL queries.
• Support & Training: Troubleshoot, optimize, and support BI systems, and provide training to end users.

Qualifications:

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field, with at least 6 years of BI development experience.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, SSRS), SQL, ETL tools (Azure Data Factory, DBT), and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell).
• Database Expertise: Strong knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, and database optimization.
