About the Job
The Business Intelligence Developer role is to develop reports using the requirements from the various business units across the organization. All custom report development projects must be carefully and thoroughly planned to provide the greatest opportunity for success. This position will focus primarily on using Crystal Reports against an Intersystem’s Cache database supporting the myAvatar electronic health record application from Netsmart, Inc. Assist with set-up and maintenance of the EHR business logic and associated dictionaries.
This role will work closely with internal clinical, administrative and financial stakeholders within the organization. The position will play a key role in the transformation of vast amounts of clinical data into meaningful information that provides key actionable insights.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Research, review, and analyze the new report procedures and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.
- Develop routines and procedures for end-users to facilitate best practices use of reporting tools and applications.
- Leverage existing or develop an internal reporting tool to automate the reporting development methodology and to provide self-service capabilities for the Business Units.
- Assist in the development of the PowerBI Dashboards and reports. Using various data sources.
- Communicate reporting changes, enhancements, and modifications - verbally or through written documentation - to management and other employees so that issues and solutions are understood.
- Meet with Business Unit decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define reporting requirements and goals.
- Work with external vendors and IT Team to coordinate the creation and management of reporting structures and to understand the various database schema.
- Using the implementation of reporting development methodology to stay consistent with oversight and coordination of technical changes via the change management process
- Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new processes, and other post-implementation support.
- Tracking, updating and maintaining projects/requests using the ServiceNow ticketing system.
- Assist System Administrator with maintaining state data interchange.
- Performs routine system update testing

Required Experience:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Database Design
- Report writing experience preferably Crystal Reports
- 3+ years of SQL experience a plus
- Strong customer focus
- Maintain high standards of data integrity
- Strong communications (written and verbal)
- Highly functioning analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables
- Successfully ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
- Experience with EMR data and applications a plus

- Strong written and oral communication skills.

- Experience in data visualization such as PowerBI
