Business Intelligence Data Analyst (Healthcare) - Emblem Health

• Responsible to build out BI dashboards, in Tableau, in collaboration with other analysts within the team.
• Manage data projects and initiatives across departments. Serve as a technical resource in the area of Data analytics and present
• the findings both internally and externally.
• Collaborate cross departmentally to gather data and ensure accuracy of all analyses.
• Support multiple business areas: clinical care management, utilization management, operations, account management, etc.
• Address dashboard enhancement requests that have passed intake process.
• Document key steps, assumptions, and dependencies; monitor dashboard function.

• Utilize design requirements/guidance from Leadership and build out BI dashboards in Tableau in collaboration with other analysts within the team, for multiple business areas (clinical care management, utilization management, operations, account management, etc.).
• Address dashboard enhancement requests that have passed intake process.
• Document the dashboards adequately, monitor functioning of dashboards.
• Utilize SQL skills to interpret and analyze data to identify insights for data centric projects or in Extracts.
• Perform Data Profiling exercise to identify issues on Data Quality checks for accuracy, completeness and validity of data.
• Make suggestions on data manipulations that best serve the business requirements.
• Handle any data imperfections pragmatically.
• Document the ETL process timely and adequately.
• Work on iterative enhancements of analytics assets over time.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, IT, Computer Science or a related field required
• Certification / portfolio in Business Intelligence preferred
• 4 - 6 years of relevant professional work experience required
• Business Intelligence experience in the health insurance industry, and/or managed-care environment required
• Experience working with healthcare/payer data required
• High level of proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.) required
• Expertise with Tableau and SAS/SQL required
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal) with all types/levels of audiences required
• Experience managing large amounts of data and proficiency using data access tools required
