SUMMARY: We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence/Business Analyst for a long term contract with the possibility to be converted to a direct hire. In this role, you will use your strong consulting instincts to provide BI analytical and technical support to an existing project with opportunity for participation in other planned projects. You be part of a consulting team as the end client continues to drive out BI projects for the betterment of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Management (40%)
- Lead comprehensive requirements gathering and design sessions with business stakeholders, end users, and development teams.
- Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating business needs into effective solutions.
- Capture high-level functional requirements and convert them into detailed technical specifications.
- Identify gaps between legacy and new systems, ensuring prioritized and efficient transition without functionality loss.
- Create high-quality, readable functional, technical, and business domain documents.
- Manage the development lifecycle for features and user stories in Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with Development and QA teams to resolve defects and operational issues.
- Use Agile methodologies to prioritize and address usability issues, design flaws, and bugs.
- Business Intelligence / Analysis & Data Modeling (40%)
- Perform data discovery, analysis, and profiling on source systems, collaborating with technical architects, developers, and business teams to confirm results.
- Create source-to-target mappings and other documentation necessary for development.
- Develop and present data models to facilitate architectural discussions.
- Analyze data patterns and assess functionality for optimization.
- Investigate and implement technologies to design and deploy dashboards.
- Define KPIs and relevant data points to support dashboard development.
- Collaborate with developers and QA testers to write and test user stories and functional changes.
- Project Management (20%)
- Evaluate and prioritize project phases and milestones to maximize functionality and enhance throughput.
- Work closely with Project/Scrum Managers, SMEs, and technical staff to ensure project success.
- Supervise the planning and execution of client projects, ensuring key deliverables are met on time.
- Foster strong relationships with both clients and internal teams.
- Strong background in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing, with expertise in Snowflake, dbt Cloud, and SQL.
- Advanced skills in database analysis, data modeling, and Excel.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Snowflake, QlikView, Power BI, Oracle BI).
- Familiarity with ETL/Dev tools such as Azure Data Factory, Talend, Informatica, AWS, SAP, etc.
- Experience using Agile SDLC and tools like Azure/DevOps.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and productivity tools, including Visio, Project, FTP, SoapUI.
- Basic coding knowledge or ability to interpret code is a plus
