About the Job
The Business Intelligence and Applications Analyst is responsible for maintaining the organization's portfolio of business applications using best practices. This role involves guiding and assisting user groups with the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical information and software systems. The Business Intelligence and Application Group will act as business alignment managers, translating technical processes and their benefits, and as information insight coaches to help leaders and front-line associates derive greater insights from reports and analytics.
What will I do every day?
- Analyze user requirements by consulting with users, reviewing procedures, and identifying problems to automate or improve existing systems.
• Collaborate on system analysis, design, development, installation, and maintenance for all enterprise business applications.
• Work with end-users to interpret needs and uses discretion to write functional specifications for new systems, changes, and enhancements.
• Assist in business intelligence strategy and analytics platforms, including data modeling, reporting, and data analysis.
• Direct and collaborate with consultants and vendors specializing in application systems.
• Provide end-user training for implemented systems/processes and create accompanying training manuals or user guides.
• Oversee custom code and configuration of business applications.
• Uses independent judgement to respond to critical and routine application support requests, interfaces with software vendors and consultants, and use independent judgment to deliver efficient development and support.
• Consult with stakeholders to ensure agreement on system strategy and functionality.
• Stay current with industry trends by reading manuals, periodicals, and technical reports.
• Interpret and author technical documentation as needed.
• Determine necessary computer software or hardware to set up or alter systems.
• Assess current procedures to accomplish team goals. - Work with operations and participate in quality initiatives, ensuring standard data collection and reporting processes are in place.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned or required.
What will I need to be successful in this role?
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing enterprise applications required. - Blend of technical, business, and people skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to make presentations to groups.
• Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with all levels of end-users and articulate technical information in a non-technical manner.
• Manage multiple project assignments and priorities.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned applications.
• Proficient in SQL and various office productivity applications like Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment with multiple priorities.
• Friendly, service-oriented approach with residents, associates, and vendors.
• High standards of personal appearance and grooming.
• Punctual and dependable, thriving in a team environment. - Proficiency in programming languages: SQL, CSS/HTML, Java, JavaScript.
• Proficiency in applications: Microsoft SharePoint, SQL Server Reporting Services, MS Dynamics CRM, ERP, HRIS, Financial Reporting, SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, Adobe Photoshop, and various training development applications.

- Competitive pay: $85,000-$110,000/Yr depending on experience
