AMSOIL is looking for a technical and strategic-minded Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team. We're seeking an individual with a keen focus on artificial intelligence to drive operational efficiency and decision-making through advanced analytics and AI integration. Our ideal candidate is passionate about uncovering valuable data insights and possesses a strong drive to utilize technology for automating and streamlining processes within the organization. This position offers a hybrid work schedule requiring a minimum of 2 days a week in the office located in Superior, Wisconsin.
Core Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Stakeholders to understand their business information needs and formulate data-driven solutions.
• Working with department leaders to assess opportunities for AI integration to enhance operations, automate processes, and improve overall employee productivity.
• Participate in the development efforts designed to create solutions and tools to collect, process, analyze and disseminate reliable, actionable information to the organization.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, etc., that support our analytical and business needs.
• Use advanced analytics techniques to gather and analyze large datasets to solve complex problems and provide actionable insights.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing quality controls and validation processes.
• Define and design secure in-house AI models and algorithms to analyze data, automate processes, enhance productivity, and support strategic initiatives.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in BI and AI technologies, applying this knowledge to enhance data analysis and the decision-making processes.
• Drive continuous improvement by seeking feedback, analyzing performance metrics, and identifying areas for optimization.
Position Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, mathematics, statistics, business analysis, or equivalent work experience.
• 5 or more years of experience as a BI Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role, with a strong focus on analytics and problem-solving.
• Skilled in using R, Python or SQL to manipulate data and create actionable insights from large data sets.
• Proficiency with data visualization tools and BI/AI platforms (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Microsoft BI Stack, ChatGPT, and MS Copilot).
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, reports, and charts.
Preferred Requirements:
• Proficiency in data warehouse analysis and MS SQL Server development, including ETL processes (SSIS), reporting tools (SSRS), analysis cubes (SSAS), stored procedures, views, triggers, functions, and query optimization.
• Experience with predictive models, machine-learning algorithms, and AI language models.
