About the Job
We’re looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Data and Analytics Consulting Team. In this role, you’ll make key data & metrics easily consumable for data-driven decision-making and consult directly with Benefits & Protection leadership to fine-tune our analytics solutions. You'll capture, format, and present data and business context to build meaningful numeric and graphical summaries and function as a data domain expert, establishing data standards & requirements with data engineers.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Provide insight into key business metrics through the creation of durable data pipelines and compelling data visualization for business leaders and partners aligned to our Benefits & Protection business unit strategic goals, specifically within the Customer Onboarding and Underwriting areas
- Research, analyze, and validate the primary source(s) for definitive data and completeness to feed metrics associated with Benefits & Protection
- Develop proactive data strategies and present recommendations to key partners regarding internal and 3rd party data, including sales, customer, operations, and claims data
- Build and maintain sophisticated Business Intelligence reporting platforms to support insightful decision making for leaders across Benefits & Protection
- Actively participate in project teams to thoroughly develop and maintain processes or systems in accordance with scheduled target dates. This may include partnering closely with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Analytics Consultants, and Product Managers as well as key business stakeholders and subject matter experts

Who You Are:- Bachelors degree or Associate's degree with 2+ years of experience, ideally in analytics, consulting, or project management, though other relevant experience will be considered
- Experience using dedicated business intelligence applications and/or cloud services (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, SQL, Salesforce, etc.)
- Experience writing and troubleshooting SQL queries
- Excellent problem solving, analytical, math, and statistical skills and demonstrates the ability to identify and resolve complex problems
- Ability to coach and review work of peer team members

Hours
This role will partner with our global teams and has an expectation for flexibility in your work schedule to have occasional start times around 7am CST.
Work Environments
This role offers an in-office and hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek) work arrangement in Des Moines, IA.
