Shift Hours: 8:00AM-5:00PM

Days of Week: MONDAY-FRIDAY

The BID must be able to translate the business needs of the customer, engage in discussion to better understand why the need for data exists, and employ technical tools to create data-driven solutions. The L1 BID will respond to service requests, create/modify/support basic data solutions, model key business processes, and assist in the support of internal data standards. The L1 BID will maintain collaborative relationships with clients typically limited to a few departments for a single facility. The L1 BID will communicate with a wide customer base ranging from unit managers to directors while gathering information from several sources, analyzing and summarizing the information to help draw conclusions. The employee will access information considered 'confidential and protected' and therefore must comply with all relevant policies and procedures related to the use, disclosure, and security of this information as well as policies related to security of the organization's information systems. As a result, the individual is required to complete mandatory annual compliance with privacy and security.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Education and Experience: Minimum Education: An Associate's Degree (AA or AS) from an accredited college/university plus one (1) year of relevant work experience required; however, an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a Degree. A Bachelor's degree may be substituted for experience.

Relevant Work experience includes: Healthcare experience, EMR system experience (Epic preferred), Data analytics.

Minimum Job Experience: One (1) year of health care data analysis experience with in-depth knowledge of healthcare operations required. An advanced degree may substitute as health care data analysis experience on year for year basis.

Job Related, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: With a focus limited to a few departments, within one facility, perform: o Strong problem solving, quantitative, and analytical abilities o Hands on experience with large relational databases/data warehousing, including ability to query databases using SQL or similar language. Experience with the following report writing and visualization tools preferred Epic Cogito Suite (RADAR, RW, SlicerDicer), SAP Business Objects (WebI), Power BI, Tableau or similar report writing and visualization tools o Excel skills, including complex functions, formulas, and formatting o Proven ability to work with and track large amounts of data (Millions of records) with accuracy o Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills o Demonstrated ability to provide information in an easy-to-understand format.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Registrations, Certifications, and/or Licenses Preferred or Achieved Within 6 Months of Hire. Depending upon area of focus decided by manager: Cogito Fundamentals, Cogito Access, Revenue, or Clinical Data Model [Proficiency or above]

Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position: Will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a "non-frequent driver"
