Architect Requirements:
- Integrations – they are buying more tools vs. building things today. A lot of it are SaaS solutions, and they have about 60 integrations they are looking at into Aptio
- Governance – help horizontals via Architecture Review contributions
- Tech Review Board
- Support tech team products (Devops and Cloud)
- DevOps practices – enablers, e.g. GitLab enhancements
- CCP => Terraform, but CCP will continue to be supported
- Oversight and partnership
SA role.
- Client's SA's are really experienced technologists that are relationship oriented
- Estimating 5 days/week in the office
Must have experience in :
- Ability to not be implementation technical but can hold own in deeper technical discussions, primarily around integration patterns with SaaS products.
- Cloud – aws is the customer cloud, but good cloud understanding and usage of cloud, integration patterns, capabilities
- Cyber understanding
- Workday/SAP/Anaplan/Ariba – best practices on how integrations are done with these types of platforms – experience would be best in some of them
- SaaS based platforms
- Apptio Suite (TargetProcess, Jira Align integrations) would be great
- LeanIX – document apps and stacks for product health
- Example – Redhat 6 app going eol (end of life) and product is still on it, app rationalization
- Has worked in a large company as some type of SA – understanding that pace of change is slower
- Technically savvy/competency – can hold own with a technical lead on challenges and option
- Putting artifacts together
- Aris and/or general BPM process modeling skills would be good.

- A Business Architect has not traditionally done as well in this space due to need for technical depth
- Scott (customer) himself owns the Business of IT
- Opportunity for taking technical and business things off his plate
- Scott is running the Aptio implementation himself
- Junior EA opp, as per one of the managers
- Currently his team is understaffed by 1 due to performance and that's what has created this role.
- Target start will be 1/6/25 most likely because they are under cost controls right now
Architect Requirements:
- Hold own on technical capabilities with business partners technical leads (credibility) who are incredibly technical
- Not necessarily a hands on keyboard role, but a role which must understand things like:
- Datacenter migration to cloud, high availability technical
- Networking and Cloud
- Infrastructure
- Software development pipelines
- Example of what someone needs from a tech perspective, If I said we were needing to talk about an app on RedHat 5.5, this person would understand why and be able to describe….
- Someone who was a tech consultant/Junior EA recently / currently with desire for EA
- Needs ability to facilitate, converse with senior leaders, drive discussion with technical staff in the verticals, within IT
- Roadmap, horizontals, planning, software code standards patterns and practices
