Business Development Specialist
PRIMARY PURPOSE: To engage thorough telemarketing and social media techniques to former and potential prospects/clients that show interest in Sedgwick through their online behavior; to perform lead nurturing and hand off through the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) process.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contacts prospects and industry partners to enhance attendance at in-person and web-based Thought Leader programs; develops listing of new topics of interest based on input from contacts.
- Communicates with targeted individuals and groups to build Thought Leader following and engage prospects; performs outreach using multiple marketing platforms to engage contacts identified through marketing automation software.
- Assists with the contact management process by collecting, updating and inputting contact information into sales/marketing system.
- Collaborates with business development to create targeted outreach call and email plans for specified audiences, including affinity, specific industries (based on service needs), and specialty services.
- Supports sales and marketing initiatives.

- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Supports the organization’s quality program(s).
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Licensing
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or sales preferred.
Experience
Four (4) years of telemarketing or inside sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
- Knowledge of inside sales and telemarketing
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
