SUMMARY: Our client is looking for a Business Development Specialist to join their growing Syracuse-based sales team. The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for driving new business development, providing consultative sales services, and supporting the entire customer lifecycle—from initial contact to final installation. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify and research potential new business opportunities in the Syracuse market, focusing on building relationships and expanding our client’s market share.
- Conduct market research and develop strategies to target specific counties and industries in the region.
- Schedule and lead in-person client meetings to understand workplace needs and offer customized solutions.
- Collaborate with the design, project management, and installation teams to ensure successful execution of client projects, including budgeting, pricing, and timelines.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and timely responses throughout the sales and project lifecycle.
- Manage CRM system entries and updates, as well as lead generation and follow-up processes.
- Provide ongoing customer support and maintain strong relationships post-installation to drive repeat business and referrals.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles.
- 1 – 2 years of related experience, preferably in consultative sales or business development.
- Strong tenacity and drive, with the ability to overcome objections and close sales.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on building and maintaining relationships.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Prior experience with CRM software & the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle, with the ability to travel to client locations as required.
- Full Time, 40-hours per week, Onsite
- Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM, with some schedule flexibility if required
- $300 guaranteed monthly expense reimbursement (for phone, gas, and client-related gifts) plus additional mileage reimbursement for travel to distant client appointments

- $55,000 - $70,000 expected base salary range, plus revenue-based commission structure
