As a subsidiary of Form Technologies, Dynacast is a global manufacturing organization that manufactures small- to medium-sized precision die cast components by combining extensive engineering knowledge with their own specialized manufacturing technologies. The company provides cost effective solutions for their global customers by identifying opportunities to redesign or consolidate products and assemblies through die casting. Dynacast operates 21 manufacturing facilities in 16 countries across the globe.
Position Summary
As a BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST (BDS), you are responsible for lead generation and sales support for the Dynacast Sales Team. Using your initiative, internal drive, and sales acumen, you will generate brand interest, sales opportunities, and source prospective business from customer lists, industry discovery, and individual research. The successful candidate will be a highly-driven self-starter that demonstrates superb communication, organization, and time management skills.
This position will be on-site, based out of our Dynacast plant in Elgin, IL.
Key Responsibilities include
- Generate and qualify leads to introduce the Dynacast Business Development Managers (BDMs) to prospective clients and new industries.
- Communicate technical details and specifics with design and engineering staff.
- Source ideal prospects, maintaining a solid pipeline of sales leads and new account opportunities. Ability to find inroads to the decision-makers.
- Partner with the Dynacast BDMs and engineering staff on prospective leads, following up and taking the lead as necessary.
- Maintain database of prospective clients and opportunities in Salesforce and other tools
- Meet a quota of opportunity creation (qualified opportunities) as assigned.
- Perform detailed market research, data analysis and present various reports utilizing tools such as Excel, Power Point, Salesforce, PowerBI, ZoomInfo, LeadGenius, LinkedIn, Google search and other tools.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills, and Attributes
- A hunter mentality to find and cultivate new business.
- A BA/BS degreed (Business discipline preferred), or the equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- 2+ years of experience and success with a combination of sales prospecting, customer service, and selling via phone. B2B sales or project management experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organization skills.
- Comfortable with detailed conversations - both at a business and technical level.
- Positive and upbeat personality, ability to utilize a "TEAM" attitude.
- Self-starter; must be independent and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Travel to the plants may be requested on occasion.
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
