Auctor Corporation, a software development company for government agencies, is hiring a Business Development Manager.
OPPORTUNITY:
As our Senior Business Development Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing strategies for securing new business with government agencies in the United States. Identify potential opportunities and nurture relationships to grow our MSC client base that will drive revenue growth. Respond to RFP requests and manage the RFP process by reviewing the Request for Proposal documents, understand client’s needs and criteria, work with Auctor’s team to create tailored proposals, manage timelines, and maintain open communication with the client throughout the process. Reporting to the Operations and Business Development Director, you will create a strategy to target state government agencies throughout the US to advise clients on what the best course of action is to modernize their software and systems.
This is a fully remote opportunity based anywhere in the United States.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Develop a comprehensive business development strategy to acquire three new Master Service Contracts with government agencies and close one new project contract in your first year.
- Identify state government agencies in need of legacy system upgrade and maintenance.
- Build a robust pipeline of potential MSC contracts through comprehensive research, relationship building, lobbyist connections, and conferences.
- Lead client meetings, presentations, and proposals to articulate the value of Auctor’s services.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with decision-makers, including state agency department leaders, CIOs and IT managers.
- Collaborate and expand relationships with lobbyists to identify new opportunities.
SUCCESS FACTORS:
- 3+ years of experience selling to government agencies, preferably in technology sales.
- Knowledge and understanding of Master Service Contracts (MSC) and RFPs is desired.
- Experience in consultative sales with long sales cycles.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with ability to build trusting relationships with agencies and lobbyists.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to create and execute actionable plans.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Abie to travel 1-2 days/month for meetings, conferences, etc.
- Disciplined and driven to achieve sales results.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Auctor Corporation will reward your business development talents with a compensation plan that includes a very competitive six-figure base salary plus commission. First year OTE is expected to be $175k-200k+. You will enjoy a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, 401k, and paid vacation. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.
