About the Job
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business by identifying and meeting the needs of prospective clients. This role involves leveraging product knowledge to provide tailored solutions, fostering client relationships, and achieving sales goals. The representative will identify and target potential clients in the field, meeting with them face-to-face to offer personalized solutions that meet their unique needs.
- Identify and target potential clients through various methods, including referrals, networking, and marketing initiatives.
- Identify and meet with centers of influence that can refer business.
- Use phone/email to reach out to prospective commercial and personal lines clients.
- Assess clients' needs, offer appropriate solutions, and explain policy details, including benefits, terms, and exclusions.
- Prepare and present customized quotes to clients, ensuring clarity and accuracy in all documentation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Convert leads into clients by effectively closing sales and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Keep up to date with industry trends, changes in regulations, and new products to provide clients with accurate information.
- Complete necessary paperwork, process applications, and maintain accurate records of client interactions and transactions.

- Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
