About the Job
Summary:
As a Business Development Representative at Techmenity, you will play a pivotal role in driving our growth within the Property Services field. You will be responsible for hunting and closing new business (in the field) in areas such as physical security (surveillance, intercoms, access controls), IT services (Wi-Fi networks, structured cabling, computer support, etc,), along with IoT sensors & services (water & leak detection, natural gas, etc.) You will bring relationships and cultivate new prospects with property superintendents, resident managers, property managers, facilities managers in both residential and commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
Utilize your sincere and engaging interpersonal skills to target stakeholders and decision makers.
Connect with existing relationships and develop new prospects by going building-to-building and engaging with our target market.
Also leverage phone & email to develop leads and schedule meetings.
Sales Cycle Management:
Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact, proposal development and deal close, while tracking data in our CRM platform.
Pipeline Development:
- Develop a robust sales pipeline and assist with the creation of key performance indicators (KPIs) to meet and exceed strategic objectives.
- Utilize Hubspot CRM to manage your pipeline effectively.
Client Engagement:
- Meet with prospects, engage in proactive calls, and propose and sell Techmenity’s custom solutions.
- Build relationships by uncovering pain points, and business needs.
Account Management:
- Manage new and, to some extent, existing accounts.
- The ability to educate while thinking on your feet and by what you may be hearing or observing about a property’s existing technologies.
- The ability to present Lunch & Learns is a plus.
Internal Collaboration:
- Foster solid internal relationships within sales, marketing, and operations.
- Identify growth opportunities within the smart home/office/building integration space.
Data-Driven Approach:
- Use sales data to refine processes and provide updates to senior management.
Continuous Learning:
- Stay updated about our business, follow industry-related developments, and maintain an entrepreneurial drive.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Industry Expertise: Experience selling services to our target audience.
Sales Experience: 3 years of business development experience, preferably with field sales.
Track Record: Proven track record of increasing annual revenues in a similar organization.
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a client-focused and results-driven approach.
Self-Motivation: Must be self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and effective at time management.
Growth Mindset: Open to personal growth, coaching, and mentoring, with a strong desire for personal and company growth.
Compensation:
Base Salary: $55,000 - $60,000
On Target Earnings:$120,000
