Overview
This role is an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional to join a family-owned business experiencing growth and expansion. The company values a hands-on approach at all levels, including a supportive C-suite, and seeks to strategically increase its market presence in Washington by dividing territories effectively. The ideal candidate will bring proven sales experience, ideally in building materials, to drive expansion and foster lasting client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Expansion: Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the designated territory.
- Client Relations: Build and maintain strong, enduring relationships with clients.
- Market Knowledge: Develop in-depth knowledge of glass and building materials, staying ahead of trends to enhance service offerings.
- Revenue Growth: Drive steady growth through strategic sales efforts and proactive lead generation.
- Reporting: Regularly track and report sales progress and client feedback to senior management.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years in business development or sales, ideally within the building materials sector (e.g., glass, granite).
- Skills: Strong negotiation and communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Assets: Proficiency in golf is advantageous for networking and building client relationships.
- Education: A degree or relevant certification in business, sales, or a related field is preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $110,000 per year
- Commission: 2% on new business
- Benefits: Mileage reimbursement, cell phone, and home office expense reimbursement
Work Environment
This role is primarily remote-based with a flexible schedule but requires occasional visits to the Burnaby, BC, office.
