Aspire Indiana Health (Aspire) is a nonprofit provider of comprehensive “whole health” services including primary medical care, behavioral health, recovery services and programs addressing the social determinants of health such as housing and employment. Aspire has health centers in five Central Indiana counties serving Hoosiers of all ages and walks of life.
Position Summary
The focus of the Business Development Representative is to help Mockingbird Hill achieve its business goals through identifying referral sources and developing a referral network. The Business Development Representative will accomplish this goal through cultivating and maintaining strong relationships in the community through communication, collaboration, and innovation. This position will work with Aspire/Mockingbird Hill Leadership, Community Engagement Coordinators, Marketing/Communication and the Business Strategy team to develop messaging that will differentiate Mockingbird Hill in the substance use disorder treatment market. This position requires an in-depth understanding of Mockingbird Hill’s clinical program, Aspire’s comprehensive addiction programs and services, while advancing and supporting Aspire’s Mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Business Development, Public Health, Healthcare Administration) from a college/university accredited by the US department of education and one (1) year of related experience OR an Associates degree in a related field (Business Development, Public Health, Healthcare Administration) from a college/university accredited by the US department of education and two (2) years of related experience OR a High School Diploma and three (3) years related experience (Business Development, Public Health, Healthcare Administration)
- Demonstrated experience in building community partnerships required
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills required
- Proven experience and connections with community agencies and providers within the county preferred; established positive working relationships highly preferred
- Previous experience with non-profit behavioral health, substance use or healthcare preferred

- Must be able to occasionally work evenings and weekends
- Ability to be flexible and work outside normal business hours, as needed

- Must have strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, video, or in person
- Must be able to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness and the ability to problem solve and utilize critical thinking skills
- Must be detail oriented, have excellent organizational skills and be flexible
- Must possess/maintain a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance and a driving record that meets the guidelines and requirements of the organization
- Must have reliable transportation to attend community events, trainings and/or meetings
