We are an established and growing restoration general contractor that specializes in rebuilding and restoring residential buildings after a flood, fire, or other natural disaster. We are seeking a Business Development Representative II to join our New York team. United Property Restoration Services is committed to our CARE AT WORK philosophy providing our customers the expertise needed to recover and rebuild their property.
Our Business Development Representatives generate new business and add qualified leads to the sales funnel as a result of marketing campaigns and other sales opportunities. Candidates for this role with industry experience are strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Targets insurance agents, insurance adjusters, property managers, fire marshals, facilities, municipalities/schools/colleges, public adjusters, associations.
- Monthly site visits to targets (i.e., agents, property managers, fire marshals, adjusters).
- Attend association meetings and join committees, BN groups, chambers etc.
- Network events such as monthly meetings, trade shows, holiday events, golf tournaments.
- Solicit fires, chasing.
- Organize charity events (food bank donations, toy drives, clothing collections).
- Keep marketing portfolio up to date with completed jobs.
- Organize lunches for agents, agencies, property managers, and property manager companies.
- Confidently able to take control of a disaster situation and guide a client through the plan of restoration.
- Available 24/7 via cell phone.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree or comparable sales and marketing experience in the insurance industry.
- 3-5 years of experience in Sales, marketing, and business development.
- Excellent oral and written communications abilities.
- Professional image that promotes the company’s “Care at Work” culture.
- Excellent decision-making skills, interpersonal abilities, and organizational skills.
- Ability to write concise emails, facilitate meetings, and give engaging presentations.
- Highly self-motivated and driven.
- Ability to develop and maintain quality business relationships.
- Strong soft sell approach.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication and interviewing skills.
- Independent and self-disciplined.
- Self-motivated.
