OnScent is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) who will work with our sales and marketing team at the new OnScent Creative Center in Hackensack, NJ.

You will focus on outbound sales strategy by contributing to the generation of new sales within OnScent. You will be responsible for moving sales leads through a sales pipeline by contacting, qualifying and scheduling sales appointments for qualified prospects. The BDR must be a driven individual with a desire to succeed through excellent communications, superior people skills and a strong work ethic. Must also be comfortable handling rejections and moving on to the next opportunity. The goal of the BDR is to schedule high-quality sales appointments for OnScent's sales team to assist them in winning new business.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Proactively engage in cold calling activities to generate new sales opportunities and expand the customer base.
- Promptly respond to generated leads in a timely manner using provided conversation guidelines and qualifying questions.
- Prospect new business opportunities by using OnScent provided lists and contact information.
- Conduct desk research on prospective leads.
- Assist in onboarding new clients by providing necessary information and support, fostering a positive experience.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to define new business opportunities.
- Learn about OnScent products and be able to provide and answer questions about our products.
- Establish or schedule appointments with interested and qualified prospects with the respective Account Executive.
- Utilize SalesForce and HubSpot to manage and organize leads efficiently, facilitating a seamless transition from marketing lead to sale lead.
- Ensure timely and efficient entry of prospect's information into SalesForce.
- Keep up to date and accurate record of qualified leads with all relevant information noted.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related fields required.
- Some experience in a sales/customer service role, with strong customer interaction, highly desired
- Must have demonstrated proficiency in verbal and written communication and excellent interpersonal skills
- A basic knowledge of prospecting and ability and willingness to learn fragrance product requirements and how customers purchase product.
- Must be able to handle rejection and move on to the next opportunity, and mindset to go the extra mile.
- Experience with sales tools, such as SalesForce, SalesLoft, Hubspot a plus, but not required.
- Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS.
