Business Development RepresentativeThis role is responsible for identifying, qualifying, and developing new business opportunities for the Company’s growing factoring business. This role requires excellent communication, organization and relationship-building skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment. As a Business Development Representative, you will work closely with the outbound sales teams and play a critical part of the team’s ability to identify, qualify and serve the customers.
This role is a great opportunity for phone-based sales associates with a competitive spirit and eagerness to learn about the Company’s fast growing product set and the freight landscape to develop their sales and tech careers. Job Type: Full-time/hybridResponsibilities
- Identify and qualify new prospective clients to fuel the pipeline for Sales Account Executives.
- Outbound prospecting via cold calling, email, Outreach flows and marketing campaigns.
- Stay up-to-date on logistics industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to factoring and alternative financing solutions.
- Manage, track, and report on all sales activities and results using Salesforce.
- Hit assigned Key Performance Metrics specific to this role and the broader success of the Sales teams.
- Collaborate with the Sales Account Executives and Sales Operations teams to refine outreach strategies and identify opportunities to improve conversion and drive growth.
- Develop efficient and repeatable methods for reaching the decision-makers at those prospective new accounts.
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field
- 1+ years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in the logistics or financial services industry
- 1+ years of experience cold-calling sales/business development experience
- Experience using a CRM (ex: Salesforce) to handle daily activities and manage customer outreach
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and handle time efficiently
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, including a strong phone presence
- Ability to work well in a high-energy, high-paced team environment
- Demonstrate an eagerness to learn and operate in ambiguity
- Ability to adapt, grow and evolve, overcoming roadblocks and quickly moving from one prospect to the next
